PRESENTATION PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS
Deadline: January 1, 2025 EV
The theme of this year’s conference is an implicit call to contemplate magick and the Aeon of Horus in relationship to the challenges and opportunities of modern life. We welcome a diversity of perspectives and wish to especially encourage our O.T.O. members who bring new perspectives, particularly Women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ members of the O.T.O. As the O.T.O. grows in its recognition of, and appreciation for, diversity, we recognize the need to learn from all of our members. At the same time, we realize that submitting a proposal may seem intimidating, and many individuals may feel they are not "enough" to present at NOTOCON. Remember that all of us, whether presenters or attendees, are human beings, trying to muddle our way through the mysteries that magick presents to us all.
The conference organizers are particularly interested in receiving proposals that include, but are not limited to, the following areas of inquiry:
The influence of the Aeon of Horus on art, literature, music, and popular culture
Contemporary adaptations of Crowley’s magical systems
The lives and legacies of key figures in Thelema
Exploring the dialogue between Thelema and other spiritual traditions
The teachings of Thelema as applied toward diversity and inclusion
Presentation time frames may be either 45 minutes or 75 minutes. Proposals should be submitted by January 1, 2025. All submissions will be acknowledged by a member of Speaker Selection Committee within seven business days.
Selected presenters will receive free registration for the conference and 1 free night at the conference hotel.
If you have any questions concerning the proposal process, please feel free to contact the Speaker Selection Committee at notocon.talks@oto-usa.org. While we cannot divine in advance whether or not your proposal will be added to the NOTOCON schedule, we are happy to help you through the process of submitting!
